Scotland's Richie Ramsay, using the 2Thumb Blue Light putter grip, came from five behind to win his maiden tour event with a best of the day 65 and then beating Shiv Kapur with a birdie on the first play-off hole. Richie was delighted with his performance where he did not drop a shot all day.
The Championship was featured live on Sky TV and once again the 2Thumb putter grip received high profile coverage.

MAJOR TOURNAMENT SUCCESSES FOR 2THUMB PUTTER GRIPS .....
2Thumb Grip Limited are celebrating their latest successes this weekend at both the European and Seniors Tournaments.
Nick Dougherty , using the red 2THUMB Light putter grip, claimed his first European Tour title for two years at the BMW International Open in Germany, describing it as probably his best win. Nick was delighted with his putting performance achieving an average of 26.7 putts per round over the four days on his way to a 22 under total.
At the same time at the De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship at Slaley Hall, Northumberland, England, Angel Franco, using the blue 2THUMB Light secured an impressive second position, only beaten by the broom putter used by Carl Mason.
The 2Thumb putter grip continues to enjoy superb TV commentary from "Sky Sports" and "Golf Night" throughout both tournaments.

2Thumb putter grips were high profile again, this time at the Ryder Cup venue, Celtic Manor. Two PGA tour players chose to use the 2Thumb putter grip on their putters and secured 4th and 9th places. The published European Tournament putting statistics, shows the success of the 2Thumb putter grip gaining 1st place in putts per green in regulation, and 3rd place with putts per round cumulative after the four days.
Congratulations also to Bob Larratt, the winner of the Senior PGA Professional Championship which recently took place at Northants County Golf Club. Bob came in at 8 under par with his first two rounds of 66 – another 2Thumb putter grip player.

Experts at the leading Sports Technology Institute in the UK, Loughborough University, demonstrated that prolonged use of a 2Thumb putter grip improves putting performance.
2Thumb, the innovative putting company, are delighted to report that an exhaustive independent study into putting results, has scientifically proved conclusively that their putter grips promote a smoother pendulum-like putting stroke which improves putting accuracy..
The independent tests carried out under laboratory conditions consisted of twelve amateur golfers performing a series of putts, ranging from five to thirty feet in distance, using both a standard putter grip and a 2Thumb grip. Four different putter head types, provided by leading manufacturers, were also used in the study, while the motions of the body and putter head were simultaneously tracked throughout the putting stroke. In addition, overall balance, body and shoulder alignment, arm and shoulder motion, putter shaft and putter head movement were examined at address, back swing, ball impact and follow-through. Ball movement post-strike was recorded using a high speed camera..
Results proved overwhelmingly that both body and putter head movements were improved using the 2Thumb grip by creating a more natural stance for a pendulum motion. In addition, ball hop, skid and first roll distances were also significantly reduced..

Congratulations from 2Thumb Grip Limited to both Gordon J Brand and Pete Mitchell for finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively in the European Seniors Tour Final Order of Merit for 2008. Both these players use the standard length 2Thumb putter grip and have secured five tournament wins and numerous top ten places between them this year, and were only beaten by the broom handled putter used by Ian Woosnam.
